Mona Lurene Alverson

Mona Lurene Alverson, 90, of Englewood, Fla., formerly of Livonia, Mich., passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012.

She was born May 6, 1922, in Bluffton, Ind., to Corda and Ruby (nee Poffenberger) May.

Mona was a member of Fellowship Church, loved her family, and enjoyed crafts and decorating her home. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Mona was a mother to JoAnn (Keith) Clement, grandmother to Lisa (Don) Wilson, of Englewood, and Michelle (Gene) Smith, of S. Lyon, Mich. She was a great-grandmother to Alex, Cayman and Don (Amber) Wilson, of Englewood, and Allison and Brennen Smith of S. Lyon, and great-great-grandmother to Hannah, Riley, Ava, and Bella of Englewood, Fla. Mona was preceded in death by her husband, William; and her great-grandson, Brennen Smith of S. Lyon.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Lemon Bay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Make a Wish Foundation. You may express your condolences to the family at lemonbayfh.com
