Linda Bowersox, 57, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, after a brave and courageous battle with breast cancer.

She was born in Yonkers, N.Y., daughter of George and Cecelia Aram.

Linda was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. She was employed by All Phase Custom Mill Shop for over five years. On weekends, you could find her working at Village Gifts and Gallery Coffee Shop on Dearborn Street of Englewood. Linda was a loving mother and hard worker. She also had a passion for nature and all little creatures. In her spare time when Linda wasn’t feeding squirrels, cats, or birds, she loved to thrift shop and indulge in anything chocolate. Her dog, Buddy, was always by her side when she was resting after treatments.

Linda is survived by her son, Ethan Bowersox of Venice, Fla.; stepchildren, Bruce Bowersox of Venice, and Miranda Bowersox of York, Pa.; and was the wife of Chris Bowersox of Englewood.

***SQUATTER*** Her son, stepchildren, and dear friend, Susie Bogutski, would like to thank the entire staff of the Hospice House at Plantation, Venice for their neverending care, support, and kindness. They would also like to thank All Phase Custom Mill Shop for all their generosity. ***END SQUATTER***

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friends of Sarasota County Parks, 6700 Clark Rd., Sarasota, FL 34241 for a memorial bench in Linda’s name. A celebration of life mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 508 Riviera St. of Venice.

Arrangements are by Lemon Bay Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
