Anthony Raymond Fiore

Anthony Raymond “Tony” Fiore, 81, of Englewood, Fla., and formerly of Hubbard, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, Fla., with his devoted family at his side.

He was born June 27, 1931, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Quintilano and Jennie (nee Marinelli) Fiore.

Tony was a bricklayer for Marinelli Construction for 14 years, and U.S. Steel for 21 years. He and his wife Verna moved to Englewood just eight weeks ago from Hubbard, where he volunteered for bingo at Immaculate Conception Church in Youngstown, and the Italian Festival at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

He is survived by wife, Verna (nee LaRocca) Fiore; sons, Anthony (Debbie) Fiore of Fort Myers, Fla., and Daniel (Kimberly) Fiore of Hubbard; and grandchildren, Lindsay, Daniel Jr. and Mary.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 5265 Placida Road, Grove City, Fla. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Mr. Fiore’s name to Tidewell Hospice, Inc., 1144 Veronica St., Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
