Cleo V. Bevak, 87, of Placida, Fla., passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012.

She was born May 3, 1925, in Detroit, Mich., and came to this area in 1981, from Largo, Fla., and Dearborn, Mich.

Cleo was retired after 30 years with Ford Motor Co. as a secretary. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #113 in Rotonda West, Fla.

Cleo is survived by her step-son, Rick (Pam) Bevak of Ada, Mich.; sister-in-law, Phyllis Crider of Englewood, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic.
