Maria Woloszczuk, 84, of Venice, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012.

She was born July 1, 1928, in Krasna, Ukraine.

Maria was a former resident of Akron-Canton, Ohio, and moved to Venice in 1993, and was a member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Mitrat Archpriest Wolodymyr Woloszczuk; sons, Jaroslaw (Darlene) Woloszczuk of Wellington, Fla., and Wolodymyr (Patricia) Woloszczuk of Rock Hill, S.C.; daughter, Marianne (Kevin) Rogers of Johnstown, Pa.; and grandchildren, Nicholas Woloszczuk, Stephanie Woloszczuk and Theodore Rogers.

A visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, with a Panachyda Service to follow. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the University Catholic Education Fund, 2247 W. Chicago Ave., Chicago, IL 60622.

Arrangements are by Farley Funeral Home of North Port, Fla.
