Richard H. Meyer of Rotonda, Fla., went on to be with the Lord Oct. 20, 2012.

He was born June 24, 1930, in Erie, Pa.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked at the Venice Walmart as a greeter for six years.

Richard is survived by his wife, Carol Meyer; seven children; and four step-children; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Harvest Chapel in Venice, Fla.

Arrangements are by ICS Cremation and Funerals Inc., of Harbour Heights, Fla.
