I met Bill and Marie Cofrode of Englewood about a year ago when they wanted one of my foster dogs.

I assisted them with adopting a Labrador from Lab Rescue of Florida (www.lrrof.org). With the help of Gwen Ketner, who became their adoption counselor, they took on Cody to foster. I had gotten to know Bill and Marie so I knew “foster” would mean they were going to adopt Cody and they did. Cody is 8-to-10 years old, a big boy and demanding.
