FAA to rule on tower appeals today

PUNTA GORDA — The Charlotte County Airport Authority could learn today whether the Federal Aviation Administration has granted an appeal that seeks to keep the agency from shutting down the airport’s control tower.
But Gary Quill, authority executive director, isn’t holding out much hope.
