Vineland helps shine the light

Educators and community leaders can learn how to help schools achieve Lighthouse status by attending the Franklin Covey symposium, The Leader in Me, on Wednesday at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center. Two area elementary schools -- Vineland and Liberty -- are among only 32 in the world to have attained Lighthouse status.

All children can learn to be leaders.
That’s the theme of “The Leader in Me,” the motivational model developed by Franklin Covey Co. for schools worldwide, based on the principles of his book “7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”
