PUNTA GORDA — A local man has been charged in connection with the November death of a 75-year-old Tropical Gulf Acres man, authorities said.

Michael Christopher Sheeley, 35, of the 26200 block of Seminole Lakes Boulevard, was charged with second-degree murder on Tuesday. Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell announced the arrest Wednesday, nearly two months after the death of Duane C. Fenner.
