Lemon Bay High School cheerleaders were selling bows for $5 with the words "Fly High," a hashtag used by football player Jerone Campbell in his communications. Proceeds went to the Jerone Campbell Memorial Fund to help pay for funeral expenses. Lemon Bay Touchdown Club will hold a public memorial on Wednesday 2:30 p.m. at the high school football field. Campbell died on Friday.

Jerone Campbell's death Friday shocked the community. Multiple fundraisers are planned and a celebration of Jerone's life is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today at Lemon Bay High School.

ENGLEWOOD — Lemon Bay High School football player and wrestler Jerone Campbell’s death on Friday shocked his family and friends and prompted an outpouring of support from the entire community.

Friends, family and supporters will gather at
2:30 p.m. today to remember Jerone — No. 28 was his football jersey number — in an open ceremony at the school at 2201 Placida Road.
