The eight-day Jewish festival of lights, Hanukkah began the evening of Saturday Dec. 8 and will end Saturday Dec. 15. Public menorah lightings were held Saturday in Englewood, Sunday at Warm Mineral Springs and Tuesday in Venice, where an Israel solidarity and Hanukkah concert were held on Venice Avenue.
