PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Narcotics Detectives arrested a Port Charlotte woman Tuesday on multiple drug-related charges after having conducted three separate drug purchases from her. Detectives arrested Erica Lynn Schwartz, 25, near her residence on the 22100 block of Felton Avenue in Port Charlotte.

In October, the Narcotics Unit arranged to purchase hydromorphone from Schwartz. An undercover officer met with Schwartz at a prearranged location and bought eight pills for $100. The pills were later confirmed to be hydromorphone by their markings and placed into evidence. In November, another undercover detective met with Schwartz for the purpose of purchasing methamphetamine. The detective paid her $200 for 1.4 grams of a substance that later tested positive as being methamphetamine. On Tuesday, an undercover detective arranged a third drug transaction with Schwartz. When they met, Schwartz sold the detective 6.7 grams of marijuana in three plastic baggies for $80. When the transaction was complete, based upon this sale and the previous sales, Schwartz was placed under arrest on a total of nine charges and transported to the jail. She remains in the Charlotte County Jail on a total $25,500 bond.
