Historic home set ablaze

Students of the Englewood Area Fire Control District contain a control burning of what had been a historic home on New Point Comfort Road Wednesday. The property owner allowed the fire district to burn the home as part of a training extercise.
ENGLEWOOD — A 90-year-old house on New Point Comfort Road with historic significance went up in flames Wednesday.
But this fire — unlike the historic Rinkard House at Dearborn Street and Old Englewood Road that burnt down a year ago November — served a purpose.
