PORT CHARLOTTE — The Daytona Cubs played a game worthy of a championship on Monday night at Charlotte Sports Park.

For the third time in four games, the Cubs shut out the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 4-0, to clinch the Florida State League title. Charlotte finished as league runner-up for the third time in five seasons.
