Local pros agree with ban on belly putting

PORT CHARLOTTE — When a ban of anchoring belly putters takes effect in 2016, pro golfers Adam Scott, Keegan Bradley, Ernie Els and others will have to take a different approach on the green.

For golfers in Charlotte, Sarasota and DeSoto counties, the ban from the United States Golf Association in May that was upheld by the PGA last week should not change much.
