The DeSoto Bulldogs Majors team took their first step towards the state championship at Brewer Park Sunday with a 6-1 win over District 6C champion San Antonio.

The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Casey Davis knocked in Peyton Dodd with the first run. That lead held until the Bulldogs scored five times in the fourth inning to take a commanding 6-0 lead. San Antonio scored their only run on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning.
