Recently the Southern Shockers hosted a softball tournament called a “Showcase Tournament” in Sebring. The Shockers had three teams in the tournament and they all did very well. Success is not measured by wins or losses but by the number of players who are offered college scholarships.

The Shockers have done very well in this area. That is the difference between a normal tournament and a showcase tournament. The showcase tournament brings in coaches from several colleges to get a look at the players all at once rather than trying to see a player during the regular softball season when the college teams are playing too.
