ENGLEWOOD — There isn’t much to the Lemon Bay High School defense, and that’s a good thing.

It isn’t that the players don’t hold promise ­— the Manta Rays return seven starters, including standout linebackers Josh Schulte and Brian McGill, linebacker-turned-defensive end Uriah Edwards and free safety Dakota Reigle. But Lemon Bay’s defensive philosophy is decidedly simple: “Go to the football.”
