PORT CHARLOTTE — Everything seemed to go right for Port Charlotte High School in a 7-1 victory against Manatee in the opening round of the District 7A-11 tournament Tuesday.

Kyle Kemp pitched two-hit ball into the sixth inning and Taylor Severson drove in three runs as the Pirates took advantage of four Hurricane errors at Pirate Cover.
