ENGLEWOOD — It did not escape the notice of Trey Hill that his DeSoto County High School baseball team had a touch of the opening-night jitters and didn’t, at first, have the sharpness Hill wanted Monday.

Lemon Bay coach Mike Cullinan spotted the same. The Mantas’ early inconsistencies were more costly.
