Ethel Reeve Hollingsworth

Ethel Reeve Hollingsworth, 98, of Arcadia, Fla., passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, and is now joined with her Heavenly Father.

She was born to Harry and Ada Reeve, Sept. 15, 1914, in Wauchula, Fla.

Ethel graduated from DeSoto County High School in 1931. She married Barney W. Hollingsworth in 1952. They became permanent residents of Arcadia in 1959. She was the office manager at the Eli Witt Company until her retirement. Ethel taught Sunday school at both Trinity and Pine Level United Methodist Churches. She was an active member of the Pine Level Church family throughout the later part of her life.

Ethel is survived by her sister, Vera Reeve of Arcadia; three children, Eula Sides of Golthwaite, Texas, Bill Hollingsworth of Arcadia, and David Hollingsworth of Sarasota, Fla.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Pine Level United Methodist Church.

Arrangements were made in Sarasota.
