Betty Lou Crockett

Betty Lou Crockett, 75, of Sarasota, FL formally of Arcadia, FL, died on September, 22, 2012.

Betty Lou started her career in Desoto County as a schoolteacher. Later moving to Sarasota and finishing her career teaching at Wilkinson Elementary. She enjoyed her community and volunteered for many years at Resurrection House. Devoted mother to her surviving children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Betty Lou was a true friend to many in all walks of life. A beautiful lady, elegant and full of vitality to the end.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Crockett and husband John; sons, Wes Crockett and wife Kim, Earl F. Crockett Jr. “Lee”; sisters, Edna Andrews of Birmingham, AL, Ann Sorrells and husband Neil of Fargo, ND, sister-in-law, Joy Tinsley, her four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by her parents Weston B and Mary Jo Tinsley and Brother Gerald Tinsley.

Visitation will be held at 6:00PM on Friday, September, 28, 2012 at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 40 N. Orange Ave, Sarasota, FL, 34236. Following the visitation Funeral Services will take place at 7:00PM at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, 40 N. Orange Ave, Sarasota, FL 34236.

A second Funeral Service will take place at First Presbyterian Church, 209 W. Hickory Street, Arcadia, FL, 34266 on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia, FL.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her name to Resurrection House, Sarasota, FL.
