Rufus Clark

Rufus Clark, 82, of Arcadia, Fla., passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012.

He was born July 27, 1930, to the Rev. Robert and Erma Clark of Alachua County, Fla.

Rufus was employed by General Development Corporation for 32 years, retiring in 1981.

He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 54 years, Mattie B. Clark; son, Mitchell E. Clark of Tallahassee, Fla.; daughters, Dr. Linda B. (Melvin) Lumpkin of Bainbridge, Ga., Gloria J. Roe, Irma N. Clark, Sheila M. Clark-Jackson and Sandra E. Clark, all of Tallahassee, Fla., and Clara F. (Richard) Napier of Burbank, Calif.; one aunt; five sisters; four brothers; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at St. John M.B. Church. The Home-Going Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at St. John M.B. Church, 208 Gordon St., Arcadia.

Arrangements are by Hickson Funeral Home, Arcadia.
