Time truly does fly. Last week made 30 years since I first sat down to write a column for this newspaper on a borrowed manual typewriter. That’s a long time for y’all to have been subjected to my mental meanderings, and I want to say thanks for putting up with me for so long.

It’s been fun and challenging, and certainly rewarding for me. I’ve learned so much about our local history and have met so many wonderful people over these years, and my life has been enriched in ways that it never would have been otherwise. Thank you for that, too!
