Linda Brodowsky was born in Michigan and moved to Florida at the age of 13 with her parents in the 1960s. She has been interested in art nearly all her life. As a young girl, she loved horses but couldn’t have one, so instead she drew them. Later, she started to draw other animals, too, as well as flowers.
As a teenager she took art classes in school and was encouraged by her teacher to apply to the Ringling School of Design in Sarasota, one of the most prestigious art schools in the country. She was accepted and attended for a year, before marrying.
