Sculptor Steve Kurrle releases the true essence from the wood he carves. Painter Elise Zarli captures a fleeting moment in her portraits and shares it with the viewer. This husband and wife team just unveiled their artwork at the first show of the season at the Martin Gallery of Florida Outdoor Properties. The exhibit opened Nov. 29 and will be there through the month of December.

Elise and Steve met at the Nocatee Civic Center musicians’ circle, which meets every Thursday night. They are both guitarists. Elise learned that Steve was a boatbuilder and hired him to rebuild a staircase.
