Next Thursday, area residents will have a chance to enjoy an evening of fun entertainment for free, and support several local charities at the same time. A free concert by the acclaimed musical ensemble, Lotela Gold, is being offered as a gift to area residents and snowbirds, all sponsored by local businesses.

The event will be held at the Turner Agri-Civic Center, 2250 N.E. Roan Street, across from DeSoto County High School. Gates open at 6 p.m. to allow residents to view the many displays presented by local businesses that are sponsoring the concert, continuing the county’s “Shop Local” campaign.
