City takes first step to change elections
ARCADIA — A first reading of a proposed ordinance to change election times for city council cleared its first hurdle Tuesday night, passing by a vote of 4-1. The only dissenting vote was Councilman Joe Fink.
City Attorney T.J. Wohl said the proposed ordinance — which would extend all of the currently-sitting council members’ terms by one year — will have a second reading at the next council meeting, set for March 5. If it passes then, it will be adopted.
