PORT CHARLOTTE — Courtney Robertson disappeared from the Port Charlotte High School bench in the fourth quarter Friday and returned a short time later, ice wrapped around her waist with pink plastic.

The Pirates’ star forward spent the remainder of the game standing by the team’s water cooler, looking relaxed as she watched her teammates cruise to a 71-52 win over Manatee.
