SARASOTA — On Friday night, 14 was the lucky number for the Lemon Bay High School boys soccer team. It wasn’t until its 14th shot that the Manta Rays scored their first goal en route to a 2-0 victory against Cardinal Mooney, a game the Mantas dominated throughout.

The breakthrough goal, which came in the 40th minute, was worth the wait.
