Colleen Spangler and John Super were among the DeSoto County residents who came to the Department of Environmental Protection's open house to learn more about environmental regulations.
DESOTO COUNTY — As of Jan. 1, DeSoto County belongs to the South District of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, said Director of District Management Jon Iglehart, who earlier Tuesday introduced himself to the Board of County Commissioners.
Prior to that DeSoto was in the Southwest District.
