DESOTO COUNTY — As of Jan. 1, DeSoto County belongs to the South District of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, said Director of District Management Jon Iglehart, who earlier Tuesday introduced himself to the Board of County Commissioners.
Prior to that DeSoto was in the Southwest District.
