Board hopes to
‘Fast Forward’
student progress
Charlotte County Public Schools plans to administer a new program called “Fast Forward” that reteaches children how to use brain functions that control cognitive skills like concentration and memory.
“Doctors reteach people to walk and speak after they have been through some traumatic experience like a stroke,” said superintendent Doug Whittaker. “We are helping to develop the parts of the brain that are preventing our kids from retaining the information they need to be successful in school.”
