ENGLEWOOD — Louis P. Plante, 88, is dead, Doris L. Plante, 87, is in critical condition and Kenneth F. Craig, 43, is in serious condition following a two-vehicle crash around 4:37 p.m. Monday at State Road 776 and Biggs Street, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. All are Englewood residents. Louis was pronounced dead at 6:44 p.m. at Lee memorial Hospital. At least two medical evacuation helicopters were at the scene.
