ARCADIA — For her first term of office, new Schools Superintendent Dr. Karyn Gary would like to see the DeSoto District climb in the rankings from the 60s into the 40s, and then into the Top 20 as her ultimate goal.

DeSoto County should not be content with being ranked 64th out of 67 counties in the State of Florida, she said.
