2013 Co-Angler of the Year-Shane Hines, Tournament Director Derek Boswell, 2013 Angler of the Year-Luke Ferguson

Luke Ferguson claimed Bartow High School Yellow Jackets’ Angler of the Year for the second year running, going wire to wire for the win.

Jackets’ Tournament Director, Derek Boswell, explained, “Luke approached high school fishing with a great attitude, displaying a level of excellence in everything he did. A true Student Angler.”

Boswell announced a new award for the Jackets beginning next season that will be called the “Luke Ferguson Sportsman Award,” an honor that Ferguson said surpasses winning Angler of the Year.

Shane Hines is Co-Angler of the Year, and with Ferguson graduating, Hines has his heart set on taking over Angler of the Year next year.

Third place: Austin Anderson

Fourth place: Ryan Thomas

Fifth place: Steven Singletary

Sixth place: Robert Wiggins

Seventh place: Kaitlyn Boswell

Eighth place: Hunter Gadd

Ninth place: Jamie Eskdale

10th place: Jerod Gadd

Jamie Eskdale received Big Bass Honors for the year at 7.15 pounds.

Gabe Gelb and Jacob Rogers won Best Team Limit with 17.40 pounds.

Boat Captain, Gene Gelb, received Best Team Limit Boat Captain award.
