Bartow anglers fish
on Lake Summit

Lakeland Junior Bassmasters fished 20 boats strong on Lake Summit, Saturday, March 2. Roger Weigel and Luke Ferguson continue to hold onto the top spots for their age divisions in the Angler of the Year races.

Results:

11-14 year olds

First: Logan Hill, 10.10 pounds

Second: Tyler Justice, 9.8 pounds

Third: Roger Weigel , 8.7 pounds

Fourth: Jackson Williams, 7.6 pounds

Fifth: Connor Price, 5.5 pounds and the big bass of 5.5 pounds

15-18 year olds

First: Luke Ferguson, 10.55 pounds

Second: Jacob Rogers, 10 pounds

Third: Dustin Bozeman, 9.9 pounds and big bass of 3.7 pounds

Fourth: Chandler Cornelius, 5.25 pounds

Fifth: Kyle Stafford, 3.5 pounds

The next tournament, April 6, will be on East Lake Toho, a first for Lakeland Juniors. Sponsored by Toho Marine and Outdoors, demo rides in new bass boats will be offered to spectators, families, and friends. Florida’s first B.A.S.S. NATION HIGH SCHOOL SERIES Open Team Event is Saturday, March 30, on Lake Toho out of the City Ramp in Kissimmee. This tournament is open to all high school anglers in grades 9-12.

The weigh-in is at 2 p.m. The entry fee is $40 per team.
