Saturday, Feb. 16, the Yellow Jackets fished Lake Toho as state teams in preparation for the SAF State Championship on Toho, March 10.

Eight teams representing Bartow High School fought wind and a bitter cold front as they sought the lunkers they will need next month.

Dustin Bozeman and Luke Ferguson claimed the win with 11.22 pounds, anchored by Ferguson’s 4.19 lb big fish of the day.

Second place went to Jacob Rogers and CJ Wright with 8.22 lbs.

Shane Hines and Robert Wiggins took third with 7.65 pounds; fourth went to brothers Jarod and Hunter Gadd with 3.64 pounds.

Trent New and Austin Anderson placed fifth with 2.88 pounds.
