ATM users should be alert to fraud scheme

This suspect, according to the Bartow Police Dept., was filmed on video attaching a "skimmer" device to an ATM at the Bartow branch of Mid-Florida Credit Union.

The Bartow Police Department is investigating fraud complaints involving ATM withdrawals from Publix in Bartow and Bartow Mid-Florida Credit Union.

Anyone who has used the ATM at those locations recently is urged to check with their banks to confirm the transactions are legitimate. It is possible card and personal information may have been compromised.
