Concerns whether the Polk County Youth Fair may be moving from Bartow to Fort Meade are premature, according to Board of County Commissioner Chairwoman Melony Bell, who made that statement Monday, Feb. 10, following the Tiger Bay of Polk County luncheon.

The idea the Youth Fair might move was first reported in the Feb. 2 edition of The Polk County Democrat and sister newspapers, The Fort Meade Leader and The Lake Wales News; it has been held in Bartow the past 66 years and is currently housed at the W.H. Stuart Center on U.S. 17.
