Utility bill source of contention

After an absence of more than a month-and-a-half, Gerald Cochran was back in Bartow and in attendance at the Feb. 4 Ctiy Commission work session and regular meeting. Cochran has qualified to run for the District 3 office currently held by incumbent A.J. Jackson, who will be running for re-election for a third (and what Jackson has declared a final) term.

After an absence of more than a month-and-a-half because he claimed he was out of town, Gerald Cochran was once again present at the Feb. 4 Bartow City Commission regular meeting but his absence did nothing to temper his feistiness.

When at the podium, he takes commissioners to task, and Monday’s session was no exception. This time his wrath was about his utility bill, although he did touch upon other topics.
