There’s a girl in the 11th grade at Bartow High School who is raising a steer for the 66th Annual Polk County Youth Fair she plans to sell Feb. 1. To raise him for the show, she has spent about two hours a day with him.

But, that’s not all Cheyenne Sharp is participating in the Youth Fair. She’s raising rabbits for that show, she’s taking part in the archery contest, she’s raising heifers at a ranch in Alturas and she’s helping younger students raise steers as this is her third time in the event. Oh, and she’s taking classes at Polk State College to earn college credits as well as high school credits.
