MLK-Gause parade Monday
There will likely be about 100 floats going down Main Street toward the Carver Recreation Center Monday that will highlight a weekend of events marking Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and and Bartow’s first black mayor, George H. Gause.
The parade with the theme Celebrate Diversity 2013: Let Hope Inspire the Dream, starts at Floral Avenue and Main Street at 10 a.m. Monday and goes to the recreation center where there will be a celebration complete with bounce houses, vendors and more for everyone.
