Apparently there are many different versions of what Santa Claus looks like as his appearance at 2210 De La Palma makes him look egg-like.
On George Street, it almost seems like daytime at night as lights not only line the houses but tree branches in the street. On one roof on Kissingen Avenue, Santa Claus and some friends are in a space ship and over the front door step there’s a revolving ball reflecting the on-again, off-again lights. And, of course, the streets are lined with lights.
For $5 next Friday and Saturday people can take a hayride through this area to see the Christmas lights. And at the Polk County Farm Bureau, where it starts, has planned a bit of party with arts and crafts and a visit from Santa ready to have pictures taken with the kids. It’s part of an annual fundraiser where the money will pay for a scholarship to a Bartow High School graduate who plans to pursue agriculture as a career.
